Do You Want To Lay In Bed Or Do You Want To Change The World?
It wasn’t always like this. I wished it had been. But, then I wouldn’t be good at what I do. I’ve been through the trenches and now help other people avoid my mistakes.
Right this moment, I own a cool cultural arts center, I run a rewarding massage therapy practice that helps heal childhood ptsd from sex or physical abuse, alcoholism, trauma etc. It’s so perfect for me.
When I turned 30, I had everything I wanted. I married my college sweetheart. I ran a Nature Center full time. I lived in pretty woods, way north of Chicago. I was “living my dream”.
But there was a big problem. I woke up angry and miserable every single morning. I had been for years. My poor husband laid at my feet and wished me good morning. I wanted to hide under the covers and growl.
Most days, I didn’t feel better until noon. I slept as much as possible. I saw my family (who lived an hour away) on holidays. And…that was uncomfortable. I was lonely and didn’t have close friends. I had an ice pick shoved behind my left shoulder blade. I had headaches. I didn’t eat because I felt sick. So sick that most mornings were on and over the toilet.
So what changed? I looked at the rest of my life and thought, “I’m killing myself. I have to figure this out”. Doctors didn’t help, they gave me drugs that made me sicker. I failed at self-help books. Counseling felt like a merry-go-round. Every guru missed the most important piece. Getting my basic needs met.
You need water. You need nutritious food. You need emotional intimacy. You need movement. You need fun. You need safety. You need touch. You need someone who knows what they’re talking about and isn’t just making stuff up.
It’s not rocket science. But no one was talking about basic health and how it makes us feel. No one was talking about body memories and the nervous system. Or how the body is intelligent. Or the connection between emotions and drinking water. Or how we aren’t trapped by our past. How we keep growing into our 90’s and even further. And how the sky is the limit as long as you believe the answer is out there.
So after decades of studying ancient healing methods including Asian, Oneida, Ojibway and Columbian Medicine, rewiring my very painful childhood and using myself as a guinea pig, I know how to make a great life. And I’ve got hundreds of clients that agree. You can see them on the testimonials page.

1. On your site, you mention you once managed a nature center. What, if anything, from that position influences your current work?
It taught me how interconnected our environment with our mental and emotional health are. It’s one of the few things we can really control that impact our lives.
2. What event or events caused you to become a massage therapist?
After running the NC for 7 years, and working with so many indigenous healers in my personal life, I realized I was the healer and pulled a tarot card spread to determine what type of healer. And massage therapist was the clear winner.
3. Tell us about the cultural arts center you run.
It is primarily a women’s community center where we offer classes and concerts that move women in a positive direction.
4. What change to do wish to see in the world?
More women that recognize they deserve and need to protect their self love and self respect.
5. Your work seems to have a focus on women? Tell us why, please.
My work is very intimate emotionally and physically. I find it’s easier to do my job when there are no male/female dynamics involved.
6. Can intuition be honed? How has accessing your own intuition helped you personally? How does intuition assist you in your work?
I believe intuition can be honed. It has helped me navigate the biggest rocks in my road because typically our next big step in growth goes against everything we were taught. In my work, it helps me tune into the core challenges of my client and help them go deeper in order to clearly see their next step.
7. What is the most satisfying part of your work?
The most satisfying part is helping women I work with really understand how loved and valuable and how deserving of love and value they truly are.
8. How did you decide to do a daily Livestream? What are some topics you talk about?
I decided to do a daily livestream because it was the most enjoyable platform for me to help women think in a more loving a self respectful way.
9. Do you use divination, such as Tarot or numerology? If so, do you have a favorite type or deck?
I use a goddess deck app. by Kris Waldher. Because it’s on my phone, I can use it anytime. My favorite deck are the Medicine Cards by Jamie Sams.
10. What does empowering women mean to you? Please share one way in which you help women learn about empowerment?
To me, empowering women means they recognize the power they already have over themselves and the true use of that power to shape their own lives and relationships. I help them learn about empowerment by showing them other ways to interact with the world and supporting them as they find the ways that work the best for their life.
11. What would you like people to know about you and/or your work?It works on a body/mind level, not just in your head. When you work with all the different systems of your body, you can fix it, heal it, change it and subsequently, change your life..
