Halloween

Today is Halloween.  It is Samhain. The ending of the year and the time when the veil between us and our departed friend and family is thought to be thin. It is a sacred and solemn time, but it is also a time of joy at the thought of finding connection with the spirits of those we long to see or converse or hold once again. Few words are needed today. Instead, images and time to consider what I think of as the best month of the year.
