Two weeks ago I was playing around with various card apps I have on my phone. These four cards were the cards I drew. Although they are named differently, transformation and morta are the death card in the major arcana of the tarot. Then there is the ten of swords and finally, strength. I’d written about both the ten of swords and the death card in earlier posts here. Death is usually about transformations of some sort and the major arcana can symbolize events taking place around us, not necessarily within our lives but definitely having an impact on us. The day I drew these four cards, from four separate decks was the day that the Supreme Court of the United States ruled against organized labor and the day that Justice Kennedy announced his retirement. The day before there were equally distressing decisions handed down from the court. One that supports trump’s travel ban, another to support anti-abortion crisis pregnancy centers and the third to basically suppress the minority vote in Texas.
SO… it struck me that my daily draws were about what is happening in the larger world that is causing so much distress. Mars is now in retrograde. We can expect aggression, anger, and conflict. We will likely see several months of human-made disasters as well as natural disasters. These things bring on transformation. Don’t have to like it, but it is part of the process. There will be changes, we will feel defeated, leveled, upset, and betrayed.
Strength will be required.
