The guardian card from the Mandala Intuitive oracle came up for me. I’m wondering about guardians. The word means a defender, protector or keeper. The card says, “you are being protected by forces greater than yourself. Release your fears.”
Who would I be without my fears? We live in a fearful world and defensive posturing, while not always helpful, seems unavoidable. People allow fear to fuel their anger and hatred. To ease our fears we try any number of things. If we can control fear then we feel better. We numb our fears, we distract ourselves we arm ourselves against our perceptions of who can hurt us.
Oddly enough, according to The Lucky Star Dream Book,– if you dream that you are scared, this denotes will and self determination. This may not be the most reliable source for dream interpretation, however http://www.luckymojo.com/professorkonje.html
Others suggest that dreams in where we encounter fearful things or situations, our anxieties about being successful are present. We may feel ill-prepared to do a good job, or we may feel we are ill-equipped to deal with something we don’t know or understand.

I’m choosing to think that my guardians are those I feel safest around to be authentically who I am. My guardians are those who could truly say, “I like you very much — just as you are.” (Bridget Jones‘ Diary) My guardians are the people who don’t keep score, who forgive something I have done that was (unintentionally) hurtful.
The forces of love, compassion, charity, kindness and forgiveness, particularly when I may not deserve it, are forces that protect me from being my worst myself because they inspire me to be my best self for others.
They are forces that may be directly unseen, but they guide and keep me on track.
I believe that the forces the card is talking about are forces like angels, god, goddesses and other forces and I’m willing to acknowledge and accept those forces as well. a force that keeps me hopeful, helps me keep anxiety at bay, and encourages me to do and be kind is a force I want close by.
